I think you should explore the idea of the glitch as a 3D thing - a structural thing - so imagining for example that a 'sphere' is made of pixels or bricks or components - and when it glitches, we see that base structure re-ordered or broken down somehow - I think 2D glitches will only take you so far in a 3D context... so something like...
